Relax Tour: first day

Arrival in Viterbo in the afternoon and accommodation at Terme Salus Hotel **** Meeting with the guide and visit to Villa Lante in Bagnaia. Villa Lante is one of the greatest achievements of the Italian Cinquecento. Particularly remembered is the Fountain of the Dead of Giambologna, the two buildings (Gambara and Montalto) and a spectacular system of fountains and water games besides a beautiful woodland park.
The water is born from a triumph of geometries drawn from always and forever, with pepper statues and follows a path that creates special basins and water games.

Closed in a rigorous geometric maze of the architect Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola, Villa Lante was built in the second half of the sixteenth century by the will of Cardinal Gambara, a ridge of an already hunting reserve.

Dinner at the selected restaurant. Afternoon dedicated to wellness treatments at the spa area Return to Hotel and Overnight.

Relax Tour: second day

Day dedicated to the Spa, with relaxation and spa treatments. The thermal waters of Viterbo are of volcanic origin and therefore come almost always hot at a temperature exceeding 40°C. Both hot and cold are used and in the thermal centers there are hot and cold water tanks. The thermal waters of Viterbo are particularly rich in sulfur and nitrogen. They are therefore highly indicated for “external” use.
The Salus Spa Spa, conveniently attached to the Salus Salus Hotel, combines tradition and innovation in the care of the person. Absolute protagonist is the Valentine’s thermal spring. Its water flows at a temperature between 36° and 40°, and has highly curative chemical-physical characteristics. Provided with an impressive spa park, indoor pool, relaxation hall, gym and saunas, the Center offers a total experience through specific paths that can regenerate body and mind like the Etruscan Thermal Route.
In the afternoon, transfer to Viterbo.
Guided walks in the medieval village of San Pellegrino. The neighborhood maintains its medieval charm and the palaces of the great Guelph and Ghibellines of the city help to understand the level of political importance achieved in the Middle Ages by Viterbo, not just a papal headquarters but a true European capital.
Next, visit the Monumental Polo Colle del Duomo with a visit to the Palace of the Popes and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. The Popes’ Palace was built between 1255 and 1267 and is known for the beautiful Loggia with trilobate arches dominating the square and the Conclave hall. This hall was also home to the first and longest conclave of history that lasted thirty-three months between 1268 and 1271.
Dinner at the selected restaurant or in the halls of the monumental Polo Colle del Duomo.
Return to hotel for overnight stays.

Relax Tour: third day

Transfer to Tarquinia. Meeting with guide and visit to the village of Tarquinia and the Necropolis of Monterozzi. The city of Tarquinia was one of the oldest and most important Etruscan Dodecapoli settlements.

The Monterozzi hill, about 6 km long, is home to the main necropolis of the Tuscia area.
Extending for about 6 km, it houses more than six thousand tombs, mostly painted. Lunch at the selected restaurant. Departure and end of services.
